Infants and Toddlers - Supporting Language and Early Literacy 1/11
January 11, 2022 | 6 - 9 PM
Infants and Toddlers is one session in a series of seven designed to promote evidence-based universal practices that support the six standards-based content areas of early literacy. This course will focus on the importance of building language and vocabulary (expressive and receptive language) during the infant/toddler years as the foundation for literacy development. Because skills are interrelated and develop simultaneously, however, the importance of exposing children to all components of early literacy will be emphasized. Strategies are included to address Dual Language Learner needs. The target audience for training includes all teachers and providers serving children in the birth through 5 years range. While adaptations and modifications to meet the needs of individual children are strongly encouraged, universal practices are the primary focus of this training.
The cost of this training is $20 and you will receive 3 hours of registry credit.
