YoungStar Quality Improvement Technical Consultant

Location: Eau Claire
Description: Western Dairyland Child Care Partnership (CCP) is seeking applications for one full-time Quality Improvement Technical Consultant to work with the YoungStar program.  CCP is located in Eau Claire WI and serves ten counties in western Wisconsin.  Resource & Referral Agencies are community-based experts who make child care work by developing professionals who care for our children, connecting parents with child care services, and collecting child care data that impacts our communities. 

Primary Responsibilities

The Quality Improvement Technical Consultant will establish and maintain professional consulting relationships with early care and education programs participating in YoungStar, develop and present workshops on various topics promoting developmentally appropriate practices and work collaboratively with stakeholders.  The Quality Improvement Technical Consultant will also work to develop high-quality child care programs, both in-home and center-based through the administration of Environment Rating Scales.

Key Qualifications

Qualified applicants will preferably have a BA or BS with core knowledge in early care and education, relationship based consulting, child development, adult learning, and quality improvement indicators and processes. A combination of credit-based education and experience equivalent to Registry level 14 will be considered in lieu of a formal education.  This position also requires at least 3 years of experience in an early care and education setting and knowledge of the early childhood education and care system structure.  Preference will be given to Tier 3 trainers and applicants that have advanced knowledge of current scientific research-based early care and education concepts, theories, principles, and practices including but not limited to ECERS-R, FCCERS, and ITERS or experience as a provider in environment rating and quality improvement planning within your own program/classroom/home.  The applicant must be able to work independently, have an interest in families with young children and promote the link between quality child care and good outcomes for children.   

Compensation

  • Wage ranges from $16-18/hour commensurate to experience
