FAQ About Training During COVID-19
Q: What is the deadline to register for trainings?
A: For all training, we ask that you register the day before the scheduled training so we are able to get you the information you need to join the course.
Q: What's the difference between virtual training vs online training?
A: Training listed as "virtual" will be offered LIVE through the Zoom platform. These are live classes that participants will use a computer, phone, or tablet to join during the timeframe listed. An online course is one that is offered through UW-Plattevilleor other means that is self paced over a period of weeks or months. Participants will receive an email prior to the online course start date to obtain log in information and a password to complete the training.
Q: How can I access and use Zoom for the virtual training?
A: After registering for the training, participants will receive an email with a link to join at the time of the scheduled training. Here is a tutorial you might want to explore prior to the event to familiarize yourself on this technology.

Q: Do I need a camera & microphone to participate in virtual training?
A: While we can't require a camera or microphone, it is strongly recommended to use the video feature when attending a virtual training. There is a call in feature for participants who do not have a microphone on their computer. Zoom meetings also include a chat box for participants to ask questions from their computers. If you are not sure your laptop or computer has a camera here is a link to follow.

Q: Will I get Registry credit?
A: Yes! You will be requested to complete the attendance log & training evaluation so we can add you to the training roster for you to get credit in The Registry. At the completion of the training, the trainer will share the link and also will send a follow-up email with the link.
Q: What if I still need to pay for the training?
A: You can mail payment for trainings to us. Checks should be made payable toWestern Dairyland. It's helpful if you add a note on the memo line with the training name. Payment can be mailed to: Western Dairyland, 418 Wisconsin St., Eau Claire, WI 54703. If you would like to pay with a debit or credit card, contact us at email@example.com. One of our staff will contact you with further instructions or to help process the payment.
